God, you who are perfect, acted in a perfect way, through the perfect work of your son, Jesus. He walked perfectly and perfectly accomplished our perfect salvation. We now have a portion of your perfect nature-holy spirit! Now we can perfectly pray in a language you can perfectly understand. We can now perfectly appreciate the value of who you have made us to be, in perfect grace.
It causes me to stop and think about all of the beautiful and wondrous things that are in this world and how God created all of them for our enjoyment. Mountains, oceans, sunsets, the universe, the farmland, the crops, the human body, children and on and on the list goes.
The thankful heart remains in awe at the majesty of the creator and yet, of all his creations, man stands near the top if not at the top of his masterpieces.
So, I don’t think we should ever underestimate the value we bring into this day and the legacy we are leaving behind us. Someday our children, grandchildren and generations of others will remember us and what a great heart we had and the simple contributions we made.

“Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.” –Francis Chan
