In simplicity, I think the basic need in mankind is to experience love, which at its highest level emanates and flourishes as we get to know a loving God as a Father.
We can choose to let go of our human pride and relinquish the self-hold of ourselves and be freed to respond to a higher calling. As a result, we can be transformed in His love and grace to become selfless servant leaders, seeking the best interest and welfare of others.
My prayer is that we can function willingly as living sacrifices, pouring out our lives for Him, as He transforms us to be more like Jesus every day.
