Nothing to Prove

God is continually teaching and showing us by example how truly wonderful we are and that we are fully redeemed and accepted.

It was Jesus Christ who accomplished such a magnificent destiny as he sacrificed himself willingly at Calvary. In that wonderfully loving and selfless act, he opened the door for mankind to again be reconnected with God in an intimate way.

There is nothing to prove anymore.  The entire price has been offered and accepted so that we may now walk with all the benefits.

Grace truly is divine favor, and that which God gives to us freely.  There is no work we could do that would make us any better or any more righteous before him.

Our eternal home is now established and now what lies before us is the day-to-day challenge of exercising simple faith to appropriate all that God has done for us.

Our prayer, our desire, our quest then, is to seek your face dear Lord, and pursue wisdom as to how to best move down this unseen pathway that we may be confident and peaceful.

“The Winds”

One ship drives east and another drives west,

With the selfsame winds that blow.

‘Tis the set of the sails and not the gales Which tells us the way to go.

Like the winds of the sea, are the ways of men,

As we voyage along through life.

‘Tis the set of a soul that decides its goal,

And not the calm or the strife.

-Ella Wheeler Wilcox

“The law works fear and wrath; grace works hope and mercy.” -Martin Luther
